Photo creativity outside the box.

This was the original photo.
The beauty of photography is that it allows me to think outside the box. Once I have the photograph I challenge myself to look at it in a variety of ways, especially when the photo is mediocre.

I snapped the above photo in the spring last year. It was quite simply a spring picture with lots of color. It wasn't an outstanding capture, just had a lot of color and it caught my eye. So I played with it, using a variety of filters and came up with something fun.

Using a Photoshop filter called Flexify, I took my spring photo and had a tremendous lot of fun, strengthening the purples and golds while changing the total form of the picture. Hard to believe that such changes can be made with a little playing around.

I continued to play and think outside the box, coming up with options that caught my eye and made me smile. These were two of the many results of my playing around, all from the same original picture.

You're witnessing here one of the reasons I absolutely love photography. In the comfort of my home, I can take pictures from any season of the year and manipulate them into something unique that is totally outside the box.

Creativity is so much fun. If you've never tried manipulating your photos, then experiment. You might be surprised with the results. At the least, you will 'oh' and 'ah' and giggle a little as you see the changes you enjoy during your photo adventure.

Comments are fun. Make my day!
